Near Field Communication (NFC)

Near Field Communication (NFC) provides a short-range wireless technology that allows communications to take place between devices that either touch or are momentarily held close together.

The NFC technology is based on ISO/IEC global standards and operates at Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) 13.56MHz, which is compatible with most of the contactless payment, transportation and ticketing solutions. NFC is an open-platform technology, which is being standardized in the NFC Forum.
