Submitting your application to Nokia Store
Before you start:
- Make sure that your application has been tested extensively on the MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan device. You can also use the performance testing tools on the device.
- Build and package your application and add the necessary metadata to your application package with with the Qt SDK or MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan Platform SDK.
- Ensure that your application fulfills the Nokia Store entry requirements for MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan applications.
- Register as a publisher, if you have not done so already.
- Make sure you have the following items at hand:
- Nokia Publisher Guide
- The packaged application
To submit your content for publishing in Nokia Store:
- Go to Nokia Store publisher login page.
- Log in with your user name and password.
- Add a new content item as instructed in the Nokia Publisher Guide. To speed up the QA process, be specific when filling in the information for your content. Select MeeGo/Maemo as the Content type.
After submitting your content item to QA, you receive a confirmation message.

Updating your content in Nokia Store
You can update your content in the following ways.
- To submit a new version of your application to be purchased through Nokia Store:
- Upload a new Debian package with a different package name.
- To submit a free update for your application:
- Upload a new Debian package of your content with an increased version number. The new version is available free of charge through Nokia Store for those who have already purchased the application.
Note: Application updates are currently not shown in Notifications on the Harmattan device. However, users can find the updates in the My stuff view of the Nokia Store application.
